3 Stars No good for Tom Tom Go 730
This item will not work for a Tom-tom Go 730. The outside ring is too high for the GPS device with the standard windshield mount. It interferes with the tom tom. You can’t get the tom tom to turn down level. It will only allow the tom tom to point up at about 40 degrees. Do not buy this unless your windshield mount allows at least one inch of clearance under the gps.

The Bracketron looks good, keeps me from messing up my dash or blocking my vision out the front windshield. Good product.

3 Stars Works, except for minor flaws
So, some people absolutely love this mount and others claim their Navi falls off.

I have a Garmin Street Pilot C550. The Nav Mat does not move at all in My Honda Fit. That part is perfect. The issue is that my Garmin mount does not stay attached to the Nav Mat. The mount stays for a while (few hours), but after that just loses suction. This is most likely an issue with the Garmin mount, particularly in the cold.

If you have a Street Pilot C550, look into the Garmin mat. I’m sure it costs more, but this mount just doesn’t keep the Garnmin attached.

I purchased one of these around the first of the year for my GPS. It is really stable and easily moved when parked with no marks on windshield. So, when I bought a second GPS (hard to be without one now) I had to buy another Nav-Mat.

I’m usingn the dock for my iphone. I need to manually set my iphone to ipod mode, that’s why I only set 4 stars.

Otherwise, everything works a planned, I can navigate through my ipod playlists with the receiver remote control and activate them.

Okay i couldn’t resist the price….

about 5 bucks out the door compared to $10-20 for most portable speakers

sound quality is low end, but the volume is louder than most laptop speakers…which is why i bought them so i can actually hear movies when i have alot of background noise.

the cord that plugs into the sound jack is horrendously short..(4 inches ?) which pisses me off because you have to sit the speakers near the sound jack.

but for the price there wasn’t anything comparable

okay… the instructions suck. it took me like an hour to figure out how to even plug my mp3 player in. the sound quality was great for a while. now if you turn it up too high, it gets a little staticy. other than that, its great for the price. so far.

5 Stars Exactly as advertised
The INSTEN Folding Stereo Speaker is not the Alpha-Omega of speakers, but it is definitely a hot purchase for under $5.00 (and that includes shipping!). I was somewhat worried when it arrived, as the company that sent it to me did the worst packing job possible, shipping the INSTEN’s flimsy paper box inside a thin plastic bag. However, despite a few bumps to the box, the speaker system itself came through like a little trouper with no damage at all.

The speaker comes with a cord to attach it to a computer, or you can use batteries (four AAA). The wire that connects the iPod to the INSTEN is exactly the right length. The iPod sits loosely in the unit, so be sure to place the system on a stable surface. It took less than a minute to set up the speaker and turn it on. First thing I noticed was the INSTEN’s blue power light. I love that blue light; I hope it never burns out! Next, I selected a song on my iPod and cranked up the volume. Not bad at all! For its size, the INSTEN produces a good, solid stereo sound. Its little speakers even throb to the music.

One caveat: keep an eye on your iPod’s battery indicator when you use the INSTEN. The four AAA batteries don’t supply power to the iPod–just to the system.

Bottom line, I love the INSTEN Folding Stereo Speaker. You can take this thing anywhere. I think this item would make a great stocking stuffer for anyone who wants to play their iPod without headphones. And it definitely won’t break the bank.

2 Stars It’s only good for sitting on your desk and listening to at really, really low volume…
First off, don’t expect to jam to any tunes to this. This is content to play something like Simply Red and a very low volume. Secondly, the cord it comes with is very short. Barely long enough to plug into the headphone jack of your MP3 player. The USB cable is pretty short also. I had to sit the speakers on top of the computer just for it to reach. I will not buy again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

4 Stars It does the job ok.
After drilling a hole for the light sensor on my 3G, I can tell you it’s not made of real leather. It’s plastic, but it does the job. Two things, it should come in 2G and 3G styles with the holes already opened for the light sensor and the corners should be covered also. I don’t know why they left the corners open because that’s where the ipod hits when dropped. Overall it nicely protects the iPod, but it should be better. 3/5 stars

2 Stars Magnet too weak, and volume buttons obstructed.
I read multiple, positive reviews before ordering this product. The overwhelming majority were 4 or 5 stars. I’m not sure why, the magnet is too small and does not securely fasten the cover that protects the touch screen. Also, the volume control buttons on the side of the touch are completely obstructed. In my opinion, keep looking!

1 Star 1st Generation Only? Hmm
Contrary to what the company describes what the case fits, this case is a very tight fit for the FIRST gen itouch and not built to suit the 2nd gen itouch as it does not allow access the volume buttons on the side.

I like the very slim design of the case, but honestly, this could have been built better.

Back to the drawing board and try again, DLo.

5 Stars the perfect case
I read the reviews before I ordered it, wondering about the quality and that the light sensor is covered up. I love this case. It is exactly what I needed. I didn’t even cut out a hole for the light sensor as one reviewer did. The case fits on my belt securely and flat against my body. I have a 3rd gen ipod touch which fits into the case snugly and all necessary connection points and volume controls are exposed precisely. I think BestBuy has the same case for about $35.

All I have left of this case is the belt clip due to its shoddy construction. The rest of the case and my $400 iPod fell off and are now lost because this case is such low quality. Do not trust your device to this case.

1 Star Avoid — white and red connectors are reversed
The cable I received from CiTi Electronics may or may not have been a genuine RiteAV cable, as there was no visible logo or markings on it anywhere. It came in a sealed clear plastic bag, with no manufacturer logo of any kind.

It also did not look exactly like the one pictured on the Amazon.com page. Specifically, the red/white RCA connectors on the cable that I received did not have any visible gaps between the “teeth” of the connector as seen in the photo, which isn’t that big a deal, but read on.

The big problem with the cable that I received is that it was wired BACKWARDS. I tested this cable with a continuity tester and clearly the tip was connected to the red connector, which is just plain wrong. There is an A/V industry standard for these cables: tip = white = left channel; ring = red = right channel. So if you use this cable and connect white to white, red to red, your left and right stereo channels will be REVERSED.

I wrote to CiTi about this and they wrote back: “Can you just use them by connecting them cross, I think that will make it simple solution, and who ever said red must be right, and white must be left, there is no regulation.”

Had I known that this cable was incorrectly manufactured, I never would have purchased it. No wonder it costs next to nothing; it may be a factory reject dumped on an unsuspecting market. Sure you can use it if you connect red to white, and white to red, or repaint the connectors, but that would be ridiculous.

To their credit, after a few more emails, CiTi Electronics (also known as CyberTech of Hacienda Heights, CA) agreed to let me return the cable (at my expense), and they issued me a full refund.

In sum, if you still buy this product, you HAVE to test it, and be prepared to repaint or remark the connectors if it is wired backwards like the one I got.

Best product for the price and had a very fast delivery. I used it to plug my ipod into the head unit in my car. A homemade ipod adapter of sorts.

Nothing much to say here. I got the cable in excellent delivery time. Tested it by plugging it in to my 1GB SANSA CLIP, in preparation for my 2GB SANSA FUZE. Plugged the other end into my small apartment stereo. IT WORKED!

not really much you can say in a review for a cheap cable cheaper than going to radio shack or wal-mart for the cable and it does the job it is supposed to

i saw the review where someone got a reverse wired cable so i tested and mine is properly wired the left channel comes from the left speaker and the right channel from the right speaker

the cable feels cheaply made and i do have my doubts about the durability but this cable isn’t going to be tugged and yanked so it will do for my needs

I bought this for use with my iPhone 3g. It works well and has solid build quality.

Pros:

- Sturdy construction

- Has a lit ring that changes color to let you know the charge status: Red = low, Yellow = medium, Green = Fully charged.

- Fully compatible with iPhone

Cons:

- the cord is coiled like a telephone cord which can be good, but the coils are so strong that you can only get about a foot from where it’s plugged in before the cord is pulling back with pretty good force.

I am overall happy with it and ended up buying several more for my other car and family members to use with their iPhones.

1 Star Broke after couple of weeks
I didn’t get a confirmation on my last post, so I’m typing again.

The car charger worked for 2 weeks, and just died on me. My car outlet is working perfectly fine, as evidenced by other chargers that still works when plugged in, so it’s this particular product that is no longer working.

The cord could have been more generous in length too, as I like to mount my iPhone to the side of the dashboard, not at the center of the front window area, but that’s the only location I can get the cord to reach comfortably.

Sorry if this turned out to be a double post.

1 Star Don’t buy for exercising
This new ipod is nice and small which would seem to make it great for running, etc but if you sweat when you exercise it causes the headphones to stop working. I called Apple and they consider this liquid damage and not the intended use of the product!

Listen to the reviews… they are all true. If you buy this Shuffle it will stop working. Mine lasted for about 3 thirty minute runs on the treadmill. Couldn’t control the volume, couldn’t change songs, random voice commands, and it eventually stopped working all together. Terrible product!!!

I contacted Apple to complain and the customer service rep admitted that they are aware of the issue and trying to find a solution. They sent me new headphones but I don’t know what the point is.

1 Star Really portable piece of junk.
This is my first real review on Amazon and I’m making it because I’m ridiculously pissed that I spent money on this piece of crap.

Like most people here, I bought this specifically so that I could take it to the gym. After a few trips to the gym it didn’t matter how fully charged the main body of the shuffle was because the control box was useless when sweat got into it. The light would blink, the playlist would skip/cycle through all the songs and the volume control was useless.

I had purchased another unit for my gf and “borrowed” her headset and for the moment I’m satisfied that I can use mine again – but I’m really annoyed at the idea that when this headset goes, both shuffles will be useless. I’m definitely not getting another and I hope that this review discourages anyone else from buying one.

I generally love Apple’s products but I’m really REALLY disgusted by this one.

4 Stars So Far So Good…Wish it had more memory
Great product. I had a nano previously, but pretty much only used it on shuffle. My only wish is for larger memory and the ability to use nike + iPod.

Item looks and sounds great, though I am worried since the controls are located on the earphones that they may get lost some day and I will not have full functionality on the device. still, for the price, this is a great item.
